After 5 Months of work and many sessions with our ISP, We now have a 35/35 megabit internet connection working at full speed! That's 15 Times Faster than before 05/06/2010!
CFN Documents Retrieval Fixed! - (08/07/2009)
Retrieving documents by CFN hasen't work correctly in the past! CFN's for Lee and Sarasota and other counties now works!
We were not aware, until recently, that the Retrieve Documents
Page would not work if given a CFN!
It would appear that this function hasen't worked for the last
1-2 years. After 2 weeks of talks with our data supplier and some
addition programming this issue has been fixed and CFN's for
LEE and Sarasota are now available.
CFN's aren't normally available from our data wholesaler for any
other counties. However, we have also programmed a enhancement,
automatically converting CFN's requested to OR-BK/PG lookup for the
following 8 counties: Broward, Collier, Dade, Hernando, Marion,
Orange, Palm and Pinellas! This means if the CFN is entered
correctly, our system will find the corresponding OR-Book+Page
and retrieve the documents!

Broward Co. Performance Fix! - (04/20/2009)
Due to a unique "Daily Update Process Bug" in Broward, searches there have been deceptively slowing down over time. Broward searches are 15-150 times faster. Both the files and process have been fixed.
"Company Name" Search Bug Fixed! - (03/25/2009)

At 8:30 am our service provider changed our fixed IP's on us and they were unable to restore them. After many hours with verizons were back with new ones. This was a verizon Tech problem.

Collier Back Data to 1992 - (10/09/2008)
Earlier this year we discovered we only had data for collier back to 2000. In a effort to get additional back data. We have added new data back to 1992.
MARION IS BACK! - (10/09/2008)
On June 12, 2008 Marion was mistakenly taken off-line because of daily download and update issues. On 10/08/2008 we discovered this issue and restored Marion to our OR Search System. Marion is completely up to date.
Documents Rate Change. (not an Opera general rate change.) - (10/01/2008)
After 6 years our document wholesaler has raised their rates by $.10 per document. Starting October 1, 2008 Documents will be $.70 and $.75 respectively. No other rate changes are planned.

Opera Rate Changes, with New On-Time Rewards Program! - (02/27/2008)
Starting March 1, 2008 we will institute price restructuring. This restructuring will have a "New On-Time Payment Rewards Program".
Starting March 1, 2008 The following Billing Pricing and Billing Terms will change as follows:
1. New Invoice Payments Terms:
A. All Billing was NET15 and is now due EOM of the billing month of the invoice.
B. All late bills can be billed a late a charge of $25.00 for past EOM and for
each additional month past the due date. (By policy we will usually allow an
additional 7 days grace period for on-time payments.)
C. All late bills 30+ days due will incur financing charges of 1.5% per month.
D. All accounts with any Delinquent Invoices of 90+ days will be suspended.
E. All suspended accounts will require an additional reactivation fee of $25.00.
2. Sign-Up, Install and Training Fee's from $110.00 to Free.
3. Monthly Subscription Fee's Price Changes from $35.00 to starting at
$45.00 and possibly lower, per month.
With Opera's New On-Time Payments Rewards Program.
Program allows Subscription Costs to be lowered in $10.00 increments down to $5.00.
(Customers must call to see if they qualify, otherwise all current accounts
will be billed at the $45.00 per month rate.) By keeping Good On-Time Opera Payments
for 3 months and your subscription fee will be $35.00 per month. Good On-Time Opera
Payments for 6 months $25.00 per month. Good On-Time Opera Payments for 9 months
$15.00 per month. Good On-Time Opera Payments for 12+ months $5.00 per month.
Remember $40.00 can amount to a lot of free searches and documents!
Please also remember you must call (813) 671-1888 during normal business hours,
9:00am-6:00pm, to review your account if you think you qualify for
reduced subscription fees!
Note: Opera's intent here is to promote good on-time payment practices.
Each Missed On-Time payment will knock your subscription fees back up by $10.00
per month and will require an additional 3 months of on-time payments to
re qualify for the next lower rate. The Maximum subscription rate can reach is
$45.00 per month. 4 or more missed payments will automatically lock your account
into the $45.00per month rate for 1 year before rate reduction eligibility
can be restored.
4. OR Searches Price Changes:
A. Name Search's from $1.00 to $1.10 per search.
B. Title Chain Search's from $4.50 to $3.50 per search.
C. OR / CFN Search's from $.85 to $.90 per search.
D. Nick Names from $.10 to $.35 per search.
E. Cross Referencing from $.25 to $.35 per search.
F. Instrument Reports from $1.00 to $.50
5. Documents Price Changes:
Direct Pulled Documents Images from $.60 to $.65
Direct Pulled PLATT Images from $1.00 to $.65
OR Search Pulled Documents Images from $.55 to $.60

Though we were considering these changes as early as July 07, we waited
as long as we could to help our current customers survive the
current industry woes as much as we could.
These changes are a regular adjustment Opera makes every 4-5 years.
In our case in the last 5 years, Opera has seen large cost rises in the many areas,
including Electric Costs, Fuel Costs, Increased Taxes, Increased Data Costs,
Increased Communications Costs, and increased costs due to the current
industry conditions.
Opera's web Pricing and Terms pages will be changed to reflect this restructuring some
time within the 1st week of March 2008, but will be in effect from March 1, 2008
regardless. We will make every effort to update the Opera Web Site Web Pages and
Billing Programs/Reports before or during that time!
Opera customers currently on fixed rate contracts will retain thier contract amounts
but will be subject to the new rates within thier contracts.
